There are essentially 2 types of CCTV technology available on todays market, Analogue Which records to a DVR (Digital video recorder) and IP based which records to a NVR (network video recorder).

Analogue Cameras and Recorders (DVR systems) have been around for quite a while now. It's technology has developed over the years to provide better image clarity and remote control of cameras functions etc. The DVR/ analogue hardware can tend to be a little less expensive than the newer IP platforms but Analogue really can't compete when it comes to clarity of images (high definition) Also the cabling for IP systems use a  Data Cabling infrastructure which can produce a less difficult installation and potential integration with existing networks.
IP based cameras and Recorders (NVR) are the next step in CCTV technology. However some manufacturers are building Hybrid style NVR recorders so that most existing analogue cameras might be reused to end of life on a NVR platform allowing IP cameras to be deployed as well. NVR/IP platforms can provide some additional enhancements that means High definition images more flexible camera control clearer imaging of license plates and facial recognition functions that takes this technology to the next level.  Contact us to discuss what might be right for you.

Talk to us about your situation and how you'd like to monitor things. We provide the CCTV equipment cabling and installation know how so that you finish with a operational system that can be monitored by mobile or remote PC
Hard drives installed to your Recorder allow you to store video footage for later retrieval. How many days you would like to retain depends on the number of cameras on the system the cameras data throughput for clarity purposes, weather the camera is set to record full time or just by motion. Many Recorders have more than one bay to mount a hard drive allowing for duplication or a backup or simply expanding the storage size. We can advise at the time.
